Despite the frigid temperatures, a flock of waxwings descended on our mountain ash tree this morning and denuded it of its berries. (I love my mountain ash tree for the incredible fall colour, winter berries, and the birds it attracts!)
What beautiful birds! Here's a little movie clip, too, so you can take in a little extra nature today - enjoy the sounds of their fluttering and singing!

... and for the record, it is COLD.
You have a beautiful shot of these lovely birds. I am going to try to listen to their song on Youtube; I like to hear them, then look up and there is a beautiful flock descending on some mountain ash trees. They must be pretty desperate in this weather. Hopefully, this weather will soon be over, for everyone's sake.

Yes, these "record lows" are a bit much, but at least it will warm up for the week-end!

We should plant more trees to save them and let them populate. Wonderful birds.
