Purple monkshood has been blooming for weeks, a new orange fleeceflower looks a little wonky but should fill in, and white Annabelle hydrangea is just starting to bloom. Annabelle does perfectly well in its sheltered, shady, east-facing location next to my house, although I have heard of some people having trouble with it in Calgary.
