Above: the side Garden is under the eaves on the south side of the house and never gets any direct rainfall. We don't spend any time here, just use it as a passage from front to back, so there are some low maintenance, drought-tolerant groundcovers here (primarily sedums and cerastium tomentosum), and a few special things that I baby a little by handwatering from the rainbarrels - some clematis for height, and a few delphiniums which I grow for cutting.
