The winning gardens of the Calgary Horticultural Society's annual garden competition are on display this week-end. Find more info here. This is a great event and if you're looking for inspiration for your own garden it will be very worthwhile. I've posted pictures from a few of my favourites in 2008 (a, b and c) and 2009.
And since I'm not on the winning tour, I'll be hosting my own little open garden event soon. If you're interested, please leave a comment or e-mail me with some times that would work for you over the next couple of weeks. I'll try to pick a good time and will e-mail you privately with more details. Warning - mine is a garden in progress and presentation will not be to winning-garden-tour-standards! But I might serve you a glass of something cold. What do you like?
If the garden competition had a "family-friendly garden" category I might have had a chance...
I would love to see your garden! My garden would definitely come under the child-friendly category (with the swings and sandbox and soccer balls)- not as nice as yours I'm afraid. But, I'd love the opportunity to get some inspiration for my backyard. I am available anytime over the next week, but I will be out of town starting July 27th. Thank you so much for sharing!
