Tomatoes planted outside...
... and weeding and compost top-dressing started in the Adventure Garden, as per the May to-do list. I can't say enough about top-dressing with compost - not only does it feed your soil, it looks beautiful! It's pretty obvious here which areas have been top dressed and which haven't.
Other things to get done this week:
- keep weeding and adding compost to beds,
- water freshly planted seeds daily until they germinate,
- get lettuce, mesclun mix and nasturtium seeds planted.
Is it not too early to plant nasturtium seeds? The weather has been so great, but the forecast for the weekend is a bit cool?

Hi Kim,
I dont think its too early. The ground is warm and by the time the seeds pop their heads above the soil, there should be minimal risk of a hard frost (I hope I didnt just jinx it...)
Cheers,
Janice
