Happy St Patrick's Day (and the benefits of clover)

I had a garden coaching client last year who repeatedly asked me how to get rid of clover in her lawn.  When I suggested leaving it because it is actually a very beneficial plant, she looked at me like she thought I was crazy.  So I thought it might be worthwhile posting a link to this discussion about the many beneficial qualities of clover, and why we have generally been convinced it is a weed.  Be sure to read the comments below the post to get the full story.
