just like you, I am in two minds about those Asters (we call them Michaelmas Daisies over here). There are too many and not enough impact. Out they go, as soon as the rain gives us a day off.

You can get a jade plant to flower? Never even seen a bud on mine, and it is huge.

The globe thistle heads look striking, don't they?

Yes, the jade plant is about 8 years old and it is in the sunniest spot in the house. This year there are more blooms on it than last, so I am hoping it will be spectacular in a few more years!
