Very serious. You can't tell from this perspective, but that cable line that this newly planted tree is directly under is only about a foot above the top of the tree.
I mean, I know not everybody spends as much time thinking about garden design as I do, but are these people totally clueless? Make sure you check the full size of a tree before you plant it, and give it room!
Perennials can be moved. Shrubs can be pruned to control their size. Trees however, do not liked to be heavily pruned to control their height, or at the very least it is high maintenance to do so. This swedish columnar aspen, which will want to grow to 10-12 m high, is not going to be impressed if it is kept to a height of 3 m.
Why, why, why?
Our neighbors have put six of these along their front steps ...a tiny house, with a tiny front lawn.....it's going to look so goofy in a few years
we have about 20 along our back fence line so i know how quickly they grow!
