Since my whole front yard is (or will soon be) garden, I like to plant the more low-maintenance plants near the sidewalk (i.e. furthest from the house). They have to look good for people walking by, but be low maintenance because I don't actually get close to them that often. Cushion spurge fits the bill.
I have 3 (all from the same original plant) that are growing right beside a huge spruce tree in full sun. I like plants that can grow beside a spruce without help (have I mentioned that before? have I mentioned the 5 spruce trees in my small front yard? I'd better not start....).
Anyway, these are brilliant yellow in spring, stay tidy all season, don't ever need dividing unless you want more plants, are long-lived and drought tolerant. 'Nuff said.
