narcissus (daffodils)

Dscn3683 Daffodils come in small to large, and colours ranging from white through yellow to pink.  They like sun, but prefer an area that is not too hot or dry.  I love them because they multiply, unlike hybrid tulips, so over time you can dig them up, separate them, and spread them around.

Daffodils should be planted in fall, in late August or early September (they take a little longer to establish roots than other spring-blooming bulbs).
