Janice Miller-Young

I have been gardening in Calgary for over 10 years. My Mom gardens a lot but I never had much interest until I bought my first house. My neighbour had a beautiful perennial garden and every week I would peek over the fence, see something new blooming, and think "I want that!" I started planting a few things and I was hooked... OK, obsessed.

I also now have 3 kids under the age of five and work full-time. I shouldn't have time to garden but I make time anyway. Who needs sleep? I am passionate about my kids and I want them to grow up in a garden so they can learn where our food comes from, learn to love and respect nature, and just play.
